A registered pharmacist is needed in Kingston to help plan and establish a new community pharmacy linked to a private medical practice.
What you will do
- Plan pharmacy layout and dispensary workflow
- Review proposed premises before lease finalization
- Advise on Pharmacy Council requirements
- Assist with preparation of Pharmacy Council establishment application
- Prepare for Pharmacy Council inspection and registration
- Advise on medication storage, refrigeration, security, and regulatory requirements
- Develop dispensing and pharmacy operating procedures
- Help establish suppliers and organize initial inventory
- Serve as Registered Pharmacist in Charge, subject to agreement and Council approval
What you need
- Must be currently registered to practise pharmacy in Jamaica
- Must be in good standing with the Pharmacy Council
- Experience managing or establishing a community pharmacy is a significant advantage
- Experience with Pharmacy Council applications or establishing a pharmacy is beneficial
