Bethlehem Moravian College is seeking a qualified Lecturer in English Literature to join its academic team.
What you will do
- Attend short courses and seminars for professional development
- Develop appropriate methods for course delivery and assessment
- Evaluate and utilize a variety of instructional techniques
- Perform core lecturing tasks including setting exams, marking assignments, and providing feedback
- Supervise students on practicum
- Function as part of a team in delivering an integrated teaching programme
- Enhance the institution's teaching profile through research and publication
- Develop a teaching portfolio
- Abide by JBTE and Council of Community Colleges of Jamaica regulations
What you need
- Master's Degree in Literatures in English or equivalent
- Teacher Training Qualification
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication and networking skills
- Computer literacy and technological proficiency
- Knowledge of MoESYI, TCJ, JBTE, and CCCJ policies
